AWC Bhd has bagged a hospital support services contract worth about RM113 million for the National Cancer Institute in Putrajaya from the Health Ministry.
AWC said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Ambang Wira Sdn Bhd, which is part of the group’s facilities division, has accepted the three-year contract from Sept 1, 2019 to Aug 31, 2022.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, it said under the contract, Ambang Wira will provide all engineering, cleaning, healthcare waste, linen and laundry management services for the institute.
Meanwhile, Group chief executive officer and president Datuk Ahmad Kabeer in a statement said the group’s total contract wins amounted to more than RM300 million in calendar year 2019.
“This win further strengthens AWC’s foothold in Putrajaya, with the most recent contract win being Menara PJH, which is also located in Putrajaya," he said.
