A total of 31.9% of the country’s population or 10,425,300 have received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine as of yesterday, health minister Dr Adham Baba said today.
In an infographic post on his official Twitter account, he said 442,150 doses were administered yesterday, with 161,049 being the first dose and 281,101 the second dose.
“As of yesterday, the total number of first dose recipients stood at 16,868,615 while the cumulative number of doses given out, including for those fully vaccinated under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) was 27,293,915.”
In terms of percentage of adults alone, Adham said 72.1% have received the first dose, while 44.5% completed the second dose.
