Hospital for military veterans to be built in Perak

The Defence Ministry will set up a hospital specifically for military veterans at Gua Permai Camp, Tambun here soon, which will serve as the Veterans Health Village, said its minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein.

He said the RM500 million hospital on the 28,500-hectare site owned by the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) would be built by using the National Blue Ocean Strategy (NBOS) approach based on public private partnership.

"The hospital will provide geriatric specialist polyclinic facilities which are areas of expertise on elderly patients as well as other specialties such as heart and respiratory, urology, neuropsychiatry, rehabilitation, dialysis services as well as care centres for disabled ATM veterans," he said.
