Teeth braces offered online may contain lead

BENTONG - Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai urged the public to refrain from buying braces for teeth online as they were suspected of containing lead.

"Based on initial information the braces sold online are made with lead, which can cause health problems, such as colon cancer," he said.

"So it's better to get advice from a dentist and use braces which are recognised by them," he said.
