KPJ Puteri Specialist Hospital donates beds to aged-care home

KPJ Puteri Specialist Hospital donated 21 used medical beds to Pusat Jagaan Warga Emas Nur Ehsan (an aged-care home) in Kempas Baru last Saturday.

Its chief executive officer, Haliza Khalid, said the beds are intended to help non-governmental organisations and those in need.

“Every donated bed has been checked and sterilised. We hope the residents – who generally suffer from medical conditions -- will benefit from them,” she said in a statement today.

She said that KPJ Puteri is undergoing upgrading and adding a new block to provide the community with the best quality in healthcare.

Nur Ehsan facility founder and chairman, Norijah Bidin, said: “The donation is perfect timing because we’re in the midst of adding a new hostel.

“We’ve also just received 13 new residents from the Social Welfare Department (JKM).” - Bernama
