Leptospirosis virus detected in Sibu

SIBU – The virus causing the deadly Leptospirosis disease has been detected at two places here, the divisional medical office said today.

It said in a press statement that they were the Permai Road recreational lake and at the ponds at the Junaco Park National Service Training Camp.

Divisional Medical Officer Dr Muhamad Rais Abdullah advised the public to stay away from these places immediately.

He said his office would inform them when these places had been declared safe again.
