The health ministry has reported 3,780 Covid-19 cases and 36 deaths in the past 24 hours.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 3,990 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 426,319.
In a statement, Noor Hisham said the total number of infections now stands at 470,110.
There are 41,889 active cases, with 520 patients being treated in intensive care and 272 requiring respiratory assistance.
One foreigner was among the 36 who died. They were aged between 29 and 90. All had existing medical conditions.
The total number of fatalities now stands at 1,902.
There were 3,778 local infections today, comprising 3,441 Malaysians and 337 foreigners, as well as two imported cases.
Selangor recorded the highest number of cases, with 1,275.
This was followed by Sarawak (405), Kedah (363), Kelantan (357), Kuala Lumpur (342) Johor (224), Penang (187), Pahang (159), Melaka (122), Perak (115), Sabah (87), Negeri Sembilan (70), Terengganu (58), Labuan (7), Putrajaya (7), and Perlis (2). - FMT
