LYC Healthcare inks deal to distribute diabetic supplement in Malaysia and Singapore

LYC Healthcare Bhd has inked an exclusive distribution agreement with CuraLife Spain SLU to distribute a diabetic supplement product known as Curalin in Malaysia and Singapore.

In a statement on Wednesday (Nov 30), the company said its unit LYC Nutrihealth Sdn Bhd had signed the deal.

It said that the European Union and US manufactured Curalin is a herbal dietary supplement with proven efficacy in promoting a healthy glycaemic response and energy levels.

The company said the supplement reduces the craving for sugars and other carbohydrates and promotes healthy weight loss, adding that Curalin has more than 100,000 active daily consumers and is available in 20 countries.

LYC managing director cum group chief executive officer David Sui Diong Hoe said the addition of Curalin will widen the company’s growing portfolio of nutraceutical products which are targeted to improve health, increase life expectancy and slow the ageing process.

“The risk of diabetes increases with age, making diabetes more common in older adults. Currently, an estimated one in every five Malaysians and every nine Singaporeans are living with diabetes and this figure is expected to grow further with Malaysia and Singapore being an ageing population,” he said.

This marks the first agreement entered into by LYC for the distribution of a finished product.

Up until now, the group supplies in-house products such as LYC Mom-Lacta for lactating mothers, LYC Flora Gut which promotes gut health, LYC Brev-Long for improved immunity especially for post-Covid 19 customers, LYC Flex-Join which improves joint health and mobility, LYC Osteo-Bon for strong bones, and LYC Cogni-Phenol which supports brain health and improves memory. – The Edge
