Selangor Sultan urges MOH to look into the need for comprehensive health facilities

The Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has called on the Ministry of Health (MOH) to look into the need for comprehensive health facilities, especially c, in the state.

He said the fact that the state’s population has exceeded more than seven million, which is the highest in the country, also required it to have a large number of health facilities with the latest equipment.

“I believe health services in hospitals should be supported by a good management system handled by a team of efficient people so that it can increase the capacity and quality of health services in Selangor.

“This also includes the maintenance aspect to ensure that hospital equipment and infrastructure are always in good condition for the benefit of the people,” he said at the official launch of the Tanjung Karang Hospital here today.

Also present was Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin.

The Sultan also expressed his happiness and gratitude for the completion of the new Tanjong Karang Hospital which began its operations on Oct 10, 2022.

“Now that the hospital is operational, residents in the area especially in the Kuala Selangor district have access to better and effective medical services,” he said.

The Sultan also said urged hospital and health facilities personnel to be more tolerant in providing health services, especially in the face of the various whims and needs of patients and families who sometimes challenge their patience.

At the same time, the ruler also urged residents in Selangor to get the first and second booster doses of COVID vaccines for optimal protection against the coronavirus following the increasing physical movement of the people in the endemic phase.
